About the Role
We’re seeking an HVAC Sheet Metal Field Apprentice/Helper to work alongside experienced tradespeople installing ductwork for heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems. This is a hands‑on entry path into a reliable, well‑paid skilled trade. You’ll assist with installation tasks, learn the fundamentals of the craft, and receive structured training through both on‑the‑job experience and formal instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with duct installation, sealing, layout, and material handling
- Learn to read tape measures, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
- Load and unload materials; maintain clean and safe job sites
- Support journeyman-level installers with prep work and daily tasks
- Progress through structured skill levels with ongoing training
- Enroll in an approved apprenticeship program
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic hand tools (per company handbook) or willingness to acquire them
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to complete upon hire
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Willingness to work outdoors, at heights, and in active construction environments
Physical Requirements
This role involves standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
