Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare management, with a focus on nursing leadership within skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. The Director of Nursing (DON) will play a vital role in guiding staff, managing budgets, and upholding the organization’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all nursing services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement policies that promote high-quality patient care, safety, and compliance with state-specific education laws.
- Manage the organizational budget for nursing operations, including staffing, supplies, and equipment, to optimize resource utilization.
- Supervise nursing staff through effective personnel management practices, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support instructional leadership in education initiatives for staff development and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations and accreditation standards while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.
- Lead efforts in strategic planning for staffing models, workflow efficiencies, and quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
