HVAC Lead Installer
Reports to: Area Manager, HVAC
Travel: Up to 100%
Schedule: Variable hours, including overtime, overnight, and Sunday service as needed
About the role
As an HVAC Lead Installer, you're the expert in the field — installing heating and cooling systems, leading every job to a clean, code-compliant finish, and mentoring the next generation of installers. You'll run your assigned territory with autonomy, take pride in quality work, and grow your career while helping ours grow too.
If you take pride in doing the job right, enjoy teaching others, and want to be trusted to own your work, this is a role where your skills are recognized and your leadership matters.
What you'll do
- Install new heating and air conditioning systems and accessories — heat pumps, HVAC, gas/oil furnaces, and boilers — to company, safety, and manufacturer specifications
- Lead and mentor your Install Assistant, coaching on technique, safety, and company standards while setting the example as a positive role model
- Deliver excellent customer service on every visit, protecting the customer's property and leaving each space clean and complete
- Remove old equipment and fully clean up all work areas
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services that benefit the customer and the company
- Manage your truck inventory, vehicle maintenance, and required permitting (company, city, state, and county code)
- Handle frontline service and repairs across all product lines as assigned
- Hit your quality, productivity, and performance goals — a minimum of 3 system installs per week
- Eligible for commission on the sale of new HVAC systems
Why you'll want to join
- Lead from day one — you own your territory and supervise your own crew
- Build others up — mentor and train assistants and fellow technicians
- Be the expert — your certifications and craftsmanship are valued and put to work every day
