AAA Car Driving School is looking for professional, patient, and safety-focused Driving Instructors to join our growing team. We are committed to providing high-quality driver education and helping students become safe, confident, and responsible drivers for life.

As a Driving Instructor, you will provide one-on-one behind-the-wheel instruction to teens, adults, seniors, and international drivers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
We are currently hiring instructors to serve Santa Clara County and surrounding Bay Area communities, including San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Cupertino, Campbell, Milpitas, Los Altos, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Fremont, Redwood City, Menlo Park, and nearby areas.
Company vehicles are provided for instruction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one behind-the-wheel driving lessons in a safe, professional, and encouraging manner.
- Teach students defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, parking, freeway driving, and DMV road test preparation.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback after each lesson.
- Maintain accurate lesson records and complete required documentation.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after each lesson.
- Ensure company vehicles remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and office staff.
- Maintain a positive learning environment while promoting safe driving habits.
Qualifications & Requirements
Driving Instructor License & Eligibility
- Must be at least 21 years of age (California state requirement).
- Must hold a valid California DMV Driving Instructor License, or be eligible to obtain one. Qualified applicants who are not yet licensed will receive the required state-approved instructor training.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must successfully complete all California DMV employment requirements, including:
- DMV Physical Examination
- Live Scan Fingerprinting
- Background Check
- Reliable internet access and a smartphone/cell phone required.
- Strong communication, patience, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
