Duties
- Lead and supervise the retail sales team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer service skills.
- Manage store operations including inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and visual presentation to maximize sales potential.
- Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to attract customers and meet sales targets.
- Handle employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, and scheduling to build a motivated and efficient team.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, cashiering procedures, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and daily financial reconciliation.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering a welcoming shopping environment.
- Utilize management skills to oversee shift management, operational workflows, budgeting, and administrative tasks ensuring smooth store functioning.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and store operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems, POS systems, bookkeeping, and basic math for financial transactions.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee training & development, merchandising, marketing strategies, and operational management.
- Experience with supervising staff in a fast-paced environment such as grocery stores or wireless retail is highly desirable.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases effectively.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory roles with responsibilities in recruiting, payroll processing, budgeting, and inventory control are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage managerial tasks efficiently.
