It serves as a bridge between acute care and return to home or alternative living, providing a more focused and consistent level of support and attention than what would be available in a traditional rehabilitation setting.

The Clinical Technician I (Clin Tech I) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Under the direction of an RN, a Clin Tech I works as an associate with training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the healthcare team. Observes patients, provides skilled nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner. Duties and responsibilities are based on what serves the patients and the team at any given time and are determined in collaboration with the team leader.

Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.
- Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures

Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing

Measures and records intake and output

Inserts and removes Foley catheters
Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED

Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia

American Heart Association BLS CPR required
