Our AAHA accredited, small animal practice in Brevard County, Florida is located minutes from the beach and a short drive to the Orlando area. We are seeking an associate veterinarian to join our well-established clinic. Serving our community for over 45 years, our practice has a large client base and offers many benefits including a competitive salary, continued education, uniform allowance, dues and licensing fees, 401k plus employer contributions, professional liability insurance, paid vacation time, and personal pet care allowance. Our excellent support staff strive to provide high quality care while having compassion for our patients and clients. Candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills with a strong interest in medicine, and have a calm, collaborative personality. Mentorship will be provided as candidate transitions into practice. A guaranteed salary base paid weekly based on experience with an additional percentage of production paid every 4 weeks, 13 times per year, with no negative accrual, allows for growth while providing a work/life balance. No emergency after hours or on call. Closed most holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans for a diverse caseload of patients
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments using up-to-date veterinary terminology and best practices with our highly trained team
- Educate pet owners on animal care, behavior, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing health
