Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the guidance of chefs and kitchen staff
- Handle food items safely, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning foods
- Support with dishwashing, waste disposal, and storage of ingredients and supplies
- Help with basic cooking tasks, including assembling salads or simple dishes as directed
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently in a team setting
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards
- Willingness to learn about food preparation, culinary practices, and kitchen operations
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
