As a Game Changers Coach, you will serve as a trusted mentor and positive role model for students through consistent in-school support and relationship-building. You’ll help youth strengthen social-emotional skills, build confidence, set goals, and navigate challenges while creating a safe, encouraging environment where students feel supported, respected, and empowered.

What you’ll do
· Build supportive, consistent relationships with students through individual and small-group mentoring sessions
· Facilitate structured sessions in partnership with school staff and administrators
· Support youth in developing confidence, communication skills, emotional awareness, and positive decision-making
· Help students set goals, stay motivated, and celebrate growth and achievements
· Create welcoming and inclusive spaces where students feel heard, valued, and respected
· Collaborate with school staff and families to provide meaningful support for students
· Track student engagement and progress using program tools and documentation systems
· Adapt your coaching and mentoring approach to meet the unique strengths and needs of each student
· Serve as a positive representative of Big Brothers Big Sisters within schools and the community
Evaluation of Performance
Performance will be evaluated based on meeting the requirements of this job description; achieving performance metrics and quality indicators established for the position; working effectively in a team environment; and demonstrating the values of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati.

Qualifications
Required
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Ability to build trust and connect with youth from a variety of backgrounds and lived experiences
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to pass required background screenings, including Criminal History and National Sex Offender Registry checks
· Valid driver’s license and state-required automobile insurance
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Preferred
· Experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, supporting, or working with youth
· Experience facilitating groups or relationship-centered programming
· Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
· Knowledge of or connection to the communities we serve
