Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Amada Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Amada press brake machines to produce precise sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications, contributing to the seamless fabrication of high-quality products. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Amada press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending of sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems for press brake operations, optimizing machine performance and efficiency
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce precise parts
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and verification of finished components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless production flow and adherence to project timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience operating Amada press brake machines, preferably with familiarity in CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, or plasma cutting equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, welding, fabrication, and tooling processes
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications for precise manufacturing outcomes
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection
- Basic math skills for calculating measurements, angles, and material requirements
- Familiarity with CNC programming and operation is highly desirable
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance
