Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to HVAC design and plumbing systems.
- Support field service operations by troubleshooting equipment issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment and property systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Help with welding, mechanical repairs, and component replacements on various HVAC components.
- Support the inspection of systems for compliance with safety standards and property maintenance requirements.
- Learn to operate specialized equipment such as ammonia refrigeration units and assist with their servicing under supervision.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction principles and mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems.
- Prior experience as a service technician or in property maintenance is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC design and plumbing.
- Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters or other electrical testing devices preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair or equipment repair is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving <PERSON> drivers is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn welding techniques, boiler operation, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other specialized skills involved in HVAC/R work.
