What you'll do:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry regulations.

Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and procurement to support maintenance and repair activities.

Compile and report budget information, including warranty claims and cost comparisons for equipment and parts.

Conduct inspections and repairs to meet federal, state, and local HVACR codes and safety standards.

Collaborate with management, coworkers, and external service providers to prioritize and complete HVACR service tasks.

Complete required documentation such as work orders, refrigerant logs, and expense reports.

Provide expert guidance on HVACR best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in HVACR troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, including refrigerant handling and management.

Valid EPA 608 Technician Certification and relevant HVAC certifications.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HVACR regulations, including OSHA and EPA compliance.

Experience managing HVACR parts inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.

Ability to interpret technical data, develop scopes of work, and conduct equipment inspections.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with management, coworkers, and external partners.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications: Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.
