Duties
- Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, braiding, and grooming services tailored to all hair types and textures
- Perform barbering services including straight razor shaves, fades, and beard trims with precision and care
- Offer specialized services such as hair extensions and treatments to enhance and protect client hair
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations and salon policies
- Use Square for appointment scheduling, client records, checkout, and retail sales tracking
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, recommend hair care products, and grow retail sales
- Stay current on trends in cutting, coloring, styling techniques, and color theory
- Support front-desk duties such as greeting clients and managing appointments, and help mentor new team members
Experience
- Proven experience in the beauty industry as a hairstylist, barber, or braider serving a diverse clientele across all hair types
- Demonstrated skill in cutting, styling, and coloring, with knowledge of color theory for custom results
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships
- Active cosmetology or barber license, or braiding certification
- Experience with hair extensions is a plus
- Knowledge of sanitation practices specific to cosmetology and barbering standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
