Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment to pick, pack, and organize products within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and safety standards will ensure smooth order fulfillment and optimal inventory control. 8:30am to 5pm
Duties
- Safely operate cherry pickers, other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Pick orders accurately using order picker equipment while adhering to safety standards in production
- Manage inventory by updating warehouse management systems (WMS) with precise data on materials movement and stock levels
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments against orders and ensuring proper storage of goods
- Conduct manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting, ensuring adherence to OSHA guidelines for safe manual handling practices
- Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing products for efficient storage and retrieval while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Experience
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, order pickers, forklifts, or similar warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leading small teams is a plus
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations is essential
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements accurately
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and handle materials manually when necessary
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, heavy lifting techniques, and materials handling best practices
