Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality department, direct our QMS frameworks, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. You bridge the gap between compliance requirements and operational execution to ensure products meet consistent standards, minimize waste, and satisfy customer expectations. The ideal candidate uses data-driven strategies to minimize defects, resolve customer complaints, and mitigate operational risks.
Core Responsibilities
- System Management: Develop, update, and enforce quality processes and procedures.
- Audit & Certification: Lead internal and external regulatory audits to maintain critical industry certifications like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Issue Resolution: Spearhead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for defects.
- Customer Liaising: Serve as the primary point of contact for client quality complaints, investigations, and returns.
- Metrics: Track, analyze, and report supplier key performance indicators (KPIs), including PPM and delivery ratings.
- COPQ: Manage cost-of-poor-quality reviews and coordinate financial recovery for supplier-caused scrap or containment.
- APQP & PPAP Management: Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning and PPAP submissions.
Required Skills & Automotive Core Tools
- Audit Credentials: Certified IATF 16949 Lead Auditor strongly preferred.
- Problem Solving: Fluency in 8D methodology, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Ishikawa analysis.
- Experience in creating control plans and PFMEAs
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience with Ford systems and portals is a plus.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
