Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality, including wine service, cocktail preparation, and spirits knowledge
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through suggestive selling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS for efficient order processing and transaction handling
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude and the ability to connect with diverse guests
- Culinary experience or food industry background that supports menu knowledge and food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in service delivery
- Knowledge of wine pairings, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage presentation techniques
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food preparation practices
- Experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking abilities
- Host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus for supporting team efforts in maintaining a seamless dining flow
