The HVAC Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for developing new business opportunities, preparing estimates, and managing HVAC projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role works closely with the Plumbing & HVAC Director, Service Manager, field personnel, subcontractors, and clients to deliver successful projects while supporting the continued growth of Mid City's HVAC division.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and maintain client relationships to generate new business opportunities.
- Participate in networking events and industry organizations.
- Support strategic growth initiatives for the HVAC division.
Estimating & Preconstruction
- Prepare project estimates, budgets, schedules, proposals, and contract documents.
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Attend pre-bid and project planning meetings.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and equipment vendors.
Project Management
- Manage subcontractors, procurement activities, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules.
- Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
- Coordinate permitting, inspections, and code compliance.
- Provide monthly billing and forecasting information.
Project Closeout
- Coordinate punch-list completion.
- Assemble O&M manuals, balancing reports, warranty documentation, and closeout packages.
- Ensure successful project turnover to clients.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC construction, estimating, or project management experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to visit active job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with estimating and project management software.
- Wisconsin HVAC industry and code knowledge.

Job Details
· Working Hours- Approximately 45-50 hours per week. Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
· Work Location- In office in Butler, WI.
· Approximately 10-20% of work will be in the field
