Job Overview
The Creative Project Manager will own the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects, from animation and eLearning, to in-person workshops, and interactive educational experiential booths. This position will collaborate closely with graphic designers, animators, instructional designers, and developers to ensure that all projects meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements. Equally important is your ability to manage client relationships with confidence — communicating clearly, setting expectations proactively, and steering conversations when needed.
The application process will ask you to answer the following 3 brief questions. A cover letter is strongly recommended, providing an early opportunity to demonstrate how you stand out from the applicant pool.
1. Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status)
2. Do you currently live within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC? If not, do you plan to relocate to the Raleigh area? (we do not provide financial moving assistance)
3. How many years of project management experience do you have?
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets, as a part of the proposal process.
- Lead the end-to-end management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients — managing expectations, proactively communicating project status, and tactfully pushing back on requests that fall outside scope, timeline, or budget
- Coordinate cross-functional creative teams (designers, animators, motion artists, developers, instructional designers, and other specialists) to achieve project goals
- Identify risks and proactively implement solutions to mitigate challenges.
- Track and report on project performance, including key milestones, budget status, and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of project management processes to enhance team efficiency.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a related field
Experience: 2-5 years of project management experience, ideally within a creative or digital agency environment
Skills
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Notion, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or similar), workplace software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar), communication software (Slack, Zoom, Gmail, etc), and cloud based file management tools (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- We are a Mac based organization, so familiarity with MacOS is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with animation, motion design, software development, graphic design, or experiential event production is a plus
- Adaptable, collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in client-facing situations
