Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing .
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
- Take and digital dental radiographs (Dexis), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) system Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits.
- Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry.
- Proficiency with dental software Dentrix for charting and documentation management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about their oral health needs.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient information at all times.
Pay: $70.00 - $100.00 per hour
