TPG HR Services USA is a national HR service provider and is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing internal Human Resources Team. The successful candidate will possess broad HR experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to independently handle employee relations, employee recruiting, employee benefits, compliance, and HRIS processes for multiple client companies. This hybrid position is located in our Highland Park, NJ office.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day Human Resources support and guidance to multiple client companies, their managers, and employees. This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys working with a variety of organizations and providing hands-on HR support across different industries and employee populations.
The HR Generalist will work closely with client leadership, employees, insurance brokers, and other business partners to ensure HR processes are administered accurately, consistently, and in accordance with applicable employment laws and client policies. The HR Generalist will also utilize multiple HRIS and related software systems to maintain employee information and prepare reports as needed.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist
· Serve as a primary HR point of contact for multiple client companies, their managers, and employees regarding HR-related questions, policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
· Develop strong working relationships with assigned clients and provide responsive, professional HR support.
· Support employee relations matters and assist client management with performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, employee complaints, and other employee issues.
· Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for client companies, including new-hire paperwork, employment documentation, and required HR procedures.
· Maintain accurate employee information and records within client HRIS databases and other HR systems.
· Administer employee benefits and serve as a liaison between clients, employees, insurance brokers, and benefit providers.
· Respond to employee and client questions regarding benefits, policies, payroll-related matters, and HR procedures.
· Assist with the development, review, communication, and administration of client HR policies and procedures.
· Support client compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Prepare and analyze HR reports for clients and management as needed.
· Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and employee onboarding activities for client companies.
· Recruit employees for client companies as needed.
· Coordinate employee performance review and performance management processes.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client, employee, and company information.
· Assist with HR projects and identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience.
· Effectively manage HR priorities and requests across multiple client accounts while providing timely follow-up and high-quality service.
· Perform other Human Resources duties and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications of the HR Generalist
· 3–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar role.
· Experience supporting multiple client companies, locations, or employee groups preferred.
· Experience in an HR consulting, outsourced HR, PEO, or other client-service environment is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, and employment practices.
· Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
· Previous experience with ATS and HRIS platforms.
· Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and client service skills with the ability to work effectively with business owners, managers, and employees at all levels.
· Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive employee-related matters with professionalism and discretion.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
· Ability to manage multiple clients, competing priorities, and deadlines.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the TPG HR team and client leadership.
· HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred but not required.
