Verona Public Schools is seeking a creative, student-centered, part-time Elementary Academic Enrichment Teacher to support and extend learning opportunities for students in grades 2-4. The successful candidate will design and facilitate engaging enrichment experiences that promote critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, curiosity, and academic risk-taking.
The Academic Enrichment Teacher will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building administrators, and district leaders to provide meaningful enrichment aligned to district curriculum, student needs, and best practices in gifted and talented education. The position will include planning and delivering differentiated learning experiences, supporting project-based and inquiry-based learning, and helping students develop advanced thinking skills across content areas.
Responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing enrichment opportunities for elementary students

Supporting students in developing higher-order thinking, creativity, research, and problem-solving skills

Providing flexible support through small-group instruction, enrichment clusters, projects, and/or classroom-based extensions

Assisting with identification, programming, and progress monitoring for students who benefit from academic enrichment

Communicating with teachers, administrators, and families as appropriate
Qualifications:

New Jersey Elementary School Teacher (#1001) certification required

Experience with gifted and talented education, enrichment programming, project-based learning, or differentiated instruction preferred

Strong instructional planning, collaboration, and communication skills

Ability to design engaging learning experiences for diverse learners

This is a part-time position for the 2026–2027 school year.
