Overview
We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Lead Teachers & Assistant Teachers to join our educational team at either our Gainesville or Centreville location! This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with young children, particularly those with experience in private school settings or early childhood education. Become Program Leader qualified at Willowcreek Academy expense within 6 months. Teachers start $20-$24 per hour.
Duties (Vary by position)
- Lead teachers create and implement educational activities as outlined.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure clarity of expectations and objectives.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Assist in curriculum development by providing feedback on lesson effectiveness and student engagement.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports students.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring safety and adherence to school policies.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, interactions and learning as required.
Requirements
- Experience in classroom is a plus, but not required.
- Background or knowledge in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in private school settings or daycare environments is a plus.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Lead Teachers must have a degree or equivalent. (CDA, Associates, Bachelors, etc.)
- Clean Driving Record
- Some college or Technical Training
