The Woodlands Dermatology Associates is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive, professional, and fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will work directly with providers to support dermatology patients through all aspects of their care. This includes preparing patients for visits, assisting with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
- Dermatology experience required or a strong background working in a high-volume clinical setting that regularly performed procedures and scribing.
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, sterile technique, and procedural set-up.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and providers.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, taking histories, scribing, and preparing for examinations and procedures.
- Assisting with dermatology procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic treatments.
- Accurately documenting in the electronic health record (EHR). We use EMA.
- Managing specimen collection, labeling, and lab processing.
- Maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and compliant work environment.
- Supporting physicians and the clinical team with daily patient flow.

Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM and Friday, 7:45 AM – 12:00 PM
- Pay: $17–$22/hour, based on certifications, experience, knowledge, and background in a dermatology setting
