Marco Supply Company Inc/Johnson Pipe Supply seeks permanent General Warehouse/Distribution Supervisor for its growing Chicago facility.
We are seeking a hands-on, reliable Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our daily warehouse operations. In a small company setting, this role requires a flexible leader who is comfortable managing inventory and shipping/receiving processes while actively working alongside a small team on the floor. You will ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, maintain safety standards, and optimize daily operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Manage workflow including receiving, staging, picking, packing, and shipping product orders accurately.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff including working the counter; step in to pack or move inventory during peak periods.
- Inventory Control: Conduct routine cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies in the inventory management system, and maintain stock organization.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce company safety guidelines, maintain clean facilities, and perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement simple, effective operational improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset suitable for a fast-paced, small-business environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Pass a drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout an 8-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per year
