Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet hotel standards.
- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces with precision and care.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to linen supplies, cleaning supplies, and equipment transportation efficiently and safely.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety during unforeseen incidents or hazards.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure sanitation standards are upheld across all areas of the hotel.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care, chemical handling, sanitation practices, and cleaning equipment operation.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping management procedures and hospitality industry standards.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
