Title: Program Manager
Status: Exempt Status
Reports To: Director of Programs & Impact
Primary Function
Directs/manages the overall daily operation of the site including programs and service delivery, supervision and coaching of part-time staff, student recruitment and retention, facilities management, community relations, and volunteer/mentor management and stewardship. Manages programming planning/execution alongside the Director of Programs & Impact including staff training and scheduling for the site. Manages Membership Clerk and Youth Development Professionals.
Key Roles:
Programming
-
Create a Club environment that facilitates learning in the pillar areas and five key elements for youth development, which assist in developing Outcome Measures and Indicators for Club programming.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

Implement and oversee programs and services offered at the site, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Plan and implement member retention and recruitment activities.

Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation related to program participants, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
Relationship Development

Building Relationships with building staff, administrators, and teachers
-
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to support programmatic goals and sustainability.

Collaborate with external organizations and agencies to leverage resources and enhance service delivery.

Foster meaningful engagement with families to support student learning and well-being. Provide resources, workshops, and opportunities for families to be involved in their children's education.

Advocate for policies and practices that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within the school and community. Represent the interests of students and families in decision-making processes.
Managing Staff

Manage staff including training and coaching, performance management, schedules, etc.

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise site staff, including program managers, administrative assistants, and support personnel.

Provide ongoing support, guidance, and performance feedback to staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Ensure all required aspects of Programming are planned and delivered

Create and cultivate a positive working environment

Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
-
Associate or four-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

A minimum of one year of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities and learning opportunities for teenagers, or equivalent experience.

A passion for making a difference in the lives of teenagers and demonstrated ability to relate and communicate with them to build a trusting mentoring relationship.

Strong public speaking skills and ability to create and nurture strong relationships in the community to advocate for the BGCLC and its mission.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
-
Ability to deal effectively with members and families, including discipline problems.

Ability to travel within the Lake County region daily.

Microsoft Suite knowledge necessary and basic computer expertise including knowledge in database system management and reporting

Ability to work extended hours and weekends, when needed and approved.

Attend BGCA training & Leadership University for ongoing education.
