Job Summary
e are looking for a dependable and motivated individual to train and grow into a Moving Foreman position.
The Moving Foreman is responsible for leading a moving crew and overseeing residential and commercial moving jobs from start to finish. You will be the main point of contact with the customer onsite and will be responsible for keeping the crew organized, productive and professional throughout the move.
Moving experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct a crew of approximately 1–4 movers
- Communicate with customers throughout pickup and delivery
- Review the job details with the customer before beginning work
- Complete and review Bills of Lading (BOLs), inventories and other required paperwork
- Verify inventory and any additional items or services needed onsite
- Properly calculate and document cubic footage, packing materials and additional services
- Collect and properly document customer payments when required
- Wrap, pack and protect furniture and household goods
- Organize and load trucks safely and efficiently
- Protect customers’ homes, floors, walls, doors and furniture from damage
- Inspect the truck and job before leaving the customer's location
- Keep the moving crew working efficiently and professionally
- Handle onsite problems such as stairs, long carries, tight access, difficult furniture or unexpected job conditions
- Communicate any major changes or issues with management
- Maintain company equipment, moving supplies and trucks
- Make sure jobs are completed correctly and customers receive professional service
- Valid driver’s license with a decent driving record if driving company trucks
Requirements

- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to lift 75–100 lbs and perform physical work for long shifts
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a crew of 2–4 movers
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic math and paperwork skills
- Willing to learn proper wrapping, packing, loading and truck organization
- Damage-conscious and able to properly protect furniture and customers’ homes
- Good problem-solving skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Available week days and some weekends
