Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cooks to join our culinary team at award winning boutique Hotel Hartness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
We are expanding our dining operations and seeking experienced cooks for evening shifts and weekend brunch and weekend nights.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring quality service and presentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
