Position Summary:
Sterling Oaks is seeking a Full-Time Director of Admissions to lead and manage the facility’s admissions process for our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. This key role works directly with hospital case managers, physicians, insurance providers, and internal clinical teams to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant resident admissions.
Posted Salary Range: USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr. Wage Commensuration: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage all aspects of the admissions process, including referrals, evaluations, and approvals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital case managers, referral sources, and community partners to support census growth.

Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation for admissions.

Interview residents and/or responsible parties to gather required information and secure all necessary signatures and consents.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date bed availability and census reporting.

Process admissions, transfers, and discharges in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.

Ensure all admission documentation is completed, scanned, and uploaded into Matrix Care in a timely manner.

Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to coordinate seamless resident transitions.

Educate residents and families on facility services, billing procedures, and expectations.

Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company policies related to admissions and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare admissions, intake, or a related role (skilled nursing or rehab preferred).

Strong understanding of insurance verification, Medicare/Medicaid processes, and prior authorizations.

Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Experience with Matrix Care or similar EMR systems preferred.
