This position as a PRN Mammography Technologist is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologist while administering ionizing radiation in the course of mammography procedures. This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of the Digital mammography system, Technologist Workstation, CAD, Magview, Radiology Information System, Picture Archiving System, Vacuum assisted Biopsy system. This person may be required to operate the Bone Densitometer and Stereotactic equipment upon occasion. This position is responsible for providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, MQSA and ACR standards, maintaining supplies, infection control. This person must be capable of providing education and support services for our patients. This position in addition to superb technical skills will also require the ability to follow the Imaging Associates service commitments to customers and fellow staff. This position under supervision of the radiologist performs mammographic examinations utilizing a variety of radiologic equipment.
