Mobile Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Technician
Schedule: 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Rotation: Every Other Weekend Off

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. This position involves performing roadside repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and trailer repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently in a mobile service environment. With company vehicle provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform roadside service calls on heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair air system leaks and components.
- Diagnose and repair coolant leaks and cooling system issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services.
- Complete DOT inspections and identify safety-related defects.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, brake, suspension, and drivetrain systems.
- Perform tire repairs, replacements, and roadside tire service.
- Diagnose engine, aftertreatment, and vehicle performance issues.
- Repair and maintain trailers, including lighting, brakes, air systems, suspension, hubs, and wheel-end components.
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Maintain company service truck, inventory, and tools.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
- Experience with heavy-duty truck and trailer diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to perform DOT inspections.
- Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Experience with tire service and roadside repairs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have basic hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
