Slingsby & Huot Eye Associates is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our established and busy clinic. Whether you bring experience or are eager to learn, we provide the training, support, and structure to help you succeed and grow in the field of eye care.

Interview patients and accurately document medical histories

Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits

Perform diagnostic testing (training provided as needed), including:

Visual fields (HVF), tonometry, keratometry, lensometry
-
Pupil exams, muscle testing, and basic refracting
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EMR systems
-
Support clinic flow and ensure an efficient patient experience

Travel occasionally for day trips to outreach locations

Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset
-
Eagerness to learn and grow in a medical setting

Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced clinic

Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented

Previous clinical or ophthalmic experience is a plus, but not required

Certifications (COA, COT, COMT) are a plus

Full-time, Monday–Friday
