Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Office Manager to lead our dental practice with enthusiasm and precision. This vital role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining exceptional patient service. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient care
- Oversee billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
- Manage human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information
- Monitor fiscal management activities such as budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to optimize practice profitability
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support medical management and nursing functions within the dental setting
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems effectively for documentation and recordkeeping
- Ensure adherence to healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and OSHA safety protocols
- Handle patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and resolve administrative issues promptly to enhance patient satisfaction
- Implement office management best practices to streamline operations and improve overall clinic performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role with a focus on medical office experience
- Strong supervisory skills with prior supervising or team leadership experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with eClinicalWorks or Epic is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations
- Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial management, and managed care processes
- Background in nursing or acute care is advantageous; hospital or clinic experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with human resources practices within healthcare settings including staff training and development
