As we continue to expand our presence in the U.S. market, we are seeking a dynamic Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure seamless coordination with our UK-based finance team.
Reporting to our Finance Director based in the UK, the Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing all U.S.-based financial operations, including general ledger oversight, wire payments, financial reporting, reconciliations using Xero, and payroll processing through Paylocity. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional with experience in a multi-entity, international reporting environment. Ideally with exposure to multiple currencies.
Duties
- Process the end-to-end financial reporting cycle for U.S. operations in Xero.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis for submission to the Finance Director.
- Consolidate financial data from multiple U.S. offices.
- Support intercompany reporting and reconciliations with UK counterparts.
- Process and track all wire payments (domestic and international), ensuring timely supplier payments.
- Manage bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Process U.S. payroll via Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate payroll records and benefits accounting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and prepare documentation for external audits.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state tax regulations, including sales/use tax and employment taxes.
- Assist in standardizing financial procedures across U.S. operations.
- Support the implementation and improvement of finance-related systems and policies.
- Liaise with external accountants, tax advisors, and banking partners as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Proven experience working in Xero and Paylocity (or similar platforms)
- Experience reporting into international parent companies or across multiple time zones.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a cross-border team structure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
