SOQ should be no more than two pages and 12-point font.
1. Provide specific examples that demonstrate your ability to effectively navigate California’s public policy process, including how you have reviewed and analyzed legislative proposals, tracked bills, prepared bill analyses, and developed position statements to inform decision-making?
2. Describe your experience with California’s budget process, leading development of Budget Change Proposal(s) (BCP) or other major fiscal requests, and conducting fiscal and policy analysis.
3. Provide at least two examples that demonstrate your ability to manage multiple high-priority legislative or budget assignments under strict deadlines and with competing priorities.
4. Describe when, and in what capacity, you have worked as a subject matter expert and collaborated with internal and/or external partners to reconcile policy or budget constraints that involved differing viewpoints and still ensured alignment with organizational priorities.
