Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, enabling them to provide effective therapeutic treatments tailored to individual client needs. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a commitment to promoting overall health and well-being through various massage techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Stretch Techniques, Pin and Stretch, ART, etc.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to address specific pain management issues.
- Maintain accurate client records, documenting treatment plans and progress.
- Provide education to clients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in occupational health settings as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients at all times.
- Uphold professional standards in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Understanding of pain management techniques and occupational health principles is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
