Export Clerk Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Clerk to join a growing logistics and transportation team in the Newark / Port Newark area. This Export Clerk position is ideal for candidates with experience supporting international shipping operations, export documentation, and customer service within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Export Clerk Responsibilities
- Prepare and process export documentation for international shipments.
- Coordinate ocean freight and air freight shipments from booking through delivery.
- Create and review commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
- Submit and maintain AES filings in compliance with export regulations.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and delivery updates.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and overseas agents.
- Track shipments and resolve transportation or documentation issues.
- Maintain accurate records of export transactions and shipment activity.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the export and logistics team.
Export Clerk Requirements
- Previous experience as an Export Clerk, Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator, Export Assistant, or related logistics professional preferred.
- Knowledge of export documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, and international shipping procedures.
- Experience with AES filings is preferred.
- Familiarity with ocean freight and air freight operations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced logistics environment.
