Bates Troy, Healthcare Linen Services mission is to provide clean linen to over 6,000 patient beds per day while making our healthcare customers’ patients comfortable and free from hospital acquired pathogens. In conjunction to this, Bates Troy aims to increase our healthcare partner’s linen utilization and decrease costs all while providing excellent service.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Sunday and Tuesday off
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties including installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial laundry equipment. This position requires, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, visual and auditory skills, can work in a team environment, as well as a valid driver's license. A minimum of 5 years machine maintenance experience is preferred. (Backgrounds in manufacturing, machine shops, facility maintenance, and Automotive tech’s / mechanics welcome).
Objectives: To maintain and repair all laundry production and ancillary equipment (washers, dryers, feeders, ironers, folders, material handlings, conveyors, strapping machines, steam lines, air lines, etc.) in all areas of the Plant. Troubleshoot, repair and PM laundry equipment and systems, building equipment and systems to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the laundry. Assist the Maintenance Manager in distributing work orders and prioritizing repairs.
Qualifications:
- Experience or Technical school training in Electrical is recommended.
- Experience in reading electrical schematics
- Must have experience following safe work procedures such as lock out tag out.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions on a variety of large industrial equipment.
- Should be proficient in electrical systems to 480 volts.
- Welding skills are helpful
- Plumbing skills are helpful
- Must be drug free and have good references.
Tasks:
· Conduct routine inspection of Plant to ensure all safety devices and equipment guards are in place and in good working order; including all fire prevention and extinguishing systems.
· Assists production staff in meeting established production quotas.
