Role Description The Lead Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on construction projects. This role coordinates and supervises subcontractors, trades, and site staff to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Lead Superintendent manages site logistics, conducts daily walk-throughs, tracks progress, and resolves field issues in collaboration with project managers and engineers. The role includes maintaining detailed documentation, leading safety meetings, enforcing safety protocols, and communicating project status and expectations to stakeholders. The Lead Superintendent also participates in planning and scheduling, reviews drawings, and supports inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in field supervision, site coordination, and daily oversight of subcontractors and trades.
- Strong abilities in project scheduling, progress tracking, and managing site logistics to meet milestones and deadlines.
- Experience implementing and enforcing construction safety programs, conducting safety meetings, and complying with OSHA and local regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents, with solid problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with project managers, owners, inspectors, and field teams.
- Working knowledge of construction management software, digital documentation tools, and basic office applications.
- Extensive experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on commercial or institutional projects; high-rise or multi-million-dollar projects preferred.
- High school diploma required; technical training or a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, with flexibility to support extended hours as project needs require.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
