Component Repair & Overhaul Mechanic – CRJ MROPosition Summary
SkyBridge Aviation is hiring experienced Component Repair & Overhaul Mechanics to support a heavy maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operation servicing Bombardier CRJ aircraft components. This position is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, overhauling, testing, and reassembling aircraft components in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have recent aircraft component repair experience and be able to perform precision mechanical work with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and reassemble aircraft components in accordance with approved maintenance data
- Perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, landing gear, flight control, wheel and brake, and other aircraft components as assigned
- Utilize precision measuring equipment and hand tools to inspect parts for wear, damage, and serviceability
- Replace bearings, seals, bushings, hardware, and other component parts as required
- Perform functional testing, operational checks, and documentation following repair or overhaul
- Read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), overhaul manuals, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation in compliance with FAA and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting production schedules
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent aircraft component repair, overhaul, or aviation mechanical experience required
- Previous experience supporting CRJ or other commercial aircraft components is preferred
- Experience working in an MRO, component shop, overhaul facility, or aviation manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), technical drawings, and repair procedures
- Experience using precision measuring tools, torque equipment, and standard aircraft maintenance hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Personal hand tools are required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing bench and component repair work
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and precision mechanical tasks
- Ability to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to support production schedules
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
