We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Systems Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. The installer will work independently or as part of a team, ensuring all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Install, configure, and commission various security systems, including CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, access control panels, card readers, biometric devices, intrusion detection sensors, and alarm systems.
- Perform site surveys to determine optimal placement of equipment and cabling routes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and aesthetic considerations.
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT5e/6, coaxial, fiber optic) in accordance with industry best practices and local codes.
- Program and configure security system software and hardware, including network settings, user permissions, event triggers, and remote access functionalities.
- Conduct thorough testing of all installed systems to ensure full functionality, proper integration, and adherence to design specifications.
- Provide comprehensive training to clients on the operation and maintenance of their new security systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing on existing security systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with security systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, service calls, and system configurations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay updated with the latest security technologies, products, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
