Job Summary:
Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of a hotel's physical structure, mechanical systems, and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This role involves hands-on maintenance, scheduling preventative maintenance, supervising a team, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Maintenance:Performing repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general handyman duties.
- Preventative Maintenance:Scheduling and conducting regular inspections of equipment and systems, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Supervision and Team Management:Supervising, training, and motivating maintenance staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and supporting their professional development.
- Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.
- Guest Service:Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Inventory and Budget Management:Managing the maintenance department's inventory, ordering supplies, and tracking expenses.
- Emergency Response:Responding to maintenance emergencies during and outside of regular working hours.
- Documentation and Reporting:Utilizing work order systems to maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Leadership and Management:Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Troubleshooting:Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Communication Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Safety and Compliance:Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
