Pet Care Technician (Kennel Attendant / Playroom Attendant)

K9 Resorts, a leader in luxury dog boarding and daycare, is hiring a Pet Care Technician.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for people who love dogs, work with urgency, and take pride in doing things right. You’ll be active all day, working directly with dogs and alongside a team that depends on each other to keep operations running smoothly.
If you prefer slower environments or minimal responsibility, this role will not be the right fit.

- Consistent, reliable attendance is required
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Must live in Nassau or Suffolk County, NY
- Must be comfortable with physical work, cleaning, and being on your feet all day***
What You’ll Do
- Supervise dogs in daycare and private play
- Monitor behavior and step in to maintain safe group dynamics
- Perform detailed body checks and report any changes
- Clean and sanitize all rooms, play areas, and equipment
- Bathe dogs and assist with daily care routines
- Follow structured feeding, medication, and care protocols
- Support your team and stay productive during downtime

- You take pride in doing things thoroughly, not just quickly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain active throughout your shift
- Experience with dogs is helpful, but not required
- Must complete K9 Resorts training program
