Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Church Office & Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations of our church’s administrative functions and facility management. This vital role ensures the smooth running of office activities, effective communication, and the maintenance of our church environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational and supervisory skills to foster a welcoming and efficient church community space.
Duties
- Manage all administrative operations, including front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, calendar management, and clerical tasks such as filing and bookkeeping.
- Oversee office supplies inventory, procurement, and vendor management to ensure resources are available and costs are controlled.
- Supervise volunteers, providing training, development opportunities, and support to maintain high levels of service and professionalism.
- Coordinate event planning for church programs, meetings, community outreach events, and special functions to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee facilities maintenance, including scheduling repairs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring safety protocols are followed for a clean, safe environment.
- Manage budgeting processes related to office operations and facilities upkeep while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Maintain effective communication with staff, congregation members, vendors, and service providers to foster a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a church or similar organization.
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and staff development.
- Self motivated with strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for front desk interactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of databases and publishing software and the ability to master new programs.
- Ability to handle clerical duties such as filing, calendar management, and multi-line phone systems with accuracy.
- Experience in event planning and coordinating community or church activities is highly desirable.
