Your Impact
As the Production Manager, you will be a cornerstone of a high-volume, multi-shift manufacturing facility managing a significant hourly team. Your initial focus will be on mastering the operational flow, establishing rapport, and gaining the trust of your staff.
You will collaborate with leads and supervisors to ensure that production targets are met, equipment is maintained, and staffing needs are addressed effectively.
Over time, you will take on increasing responsibility for:

Driving production performance and ensuring operational excellence.

Leading and mentoring both supervisory and hourly personnel.

Managing labor planning and production scheduling.

Improving OEE, labor utilization, and overall output to boost site profitability.

Spearheading continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.

Leading initiatives for automation and modernization.

Overseeing headcount and strategic workforce planning.

Collaborating across departments including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and HR.

Identifying and implementing solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual labor.

Contributing to high-level operational and business strategy.

What We're Looking For-
10–15+ years of manufacturing/operations experience

At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience

Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills

A hands-on leadership style and willingness to spend significant time on the production floor

Strong knowledge of production scheduling, MRP, OEE, labor utilization, headcount, and manufacturing KPIs

Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to earn trust across different personalities and levels of the organization

The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment

Flexibility to occasionally gain exposure to other shifts as you develop
Preferred Background-
High-speed manufacturing, CPG, food, food packaging, or similar industries

Large-scale, multi-shift manufacturing operations
-
High-headcount and/or union environments
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field

Strong analytical and business acumen beyond day-to-day production management
Nice to Have-
Lean or Six Sigma certification

APICS or related operations/supply chain certification

MBA or advanced degree

Multi-site manufacturing experience
The Environment
This is a hands-on, high-accountability manufacturing culture where leaders are expected to be visible, agile in decision-making, and grounded in the reality of the production floor. We value individuals who are adaptable, loyal, and driven to improve while navigating complex team dynamics.
During peak seasons, the pace intensifies, requiring additional floor presence and occasional Saturday work. Important: There is a PTO blackout period from September 1 through December 1, with Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Black Friday provided as paid holidays.
