Duties
- Prepare, measure, and mix chemicals following detailed manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and material carts to transport raw materials, chemicals, and finished products within the facility.
- Handle industrial chemicals with strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and chemical-resistant gloves.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, containers, and storage areas to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Assist in packaging pharmaceutical products accurately while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the production and warehouse areas.
- Maintain detailed records of chemical usage, batch processing data, safety checks, and incident reports in accordance with regulatory/legal compliance standards.
- Support laboratory testing procedures when necessary to verify chemical properties or product quality during manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities or industrial chemical handling environments with knowledge of GMP and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards specific to pharmaceutical or chemical production.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording accuracy.
- Experience with laboratory procedures related to chemical testing or quality assurance is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of industrial chemical handling procedures including proper storage, transportation, and disposal practices.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence including PPE usage such as respiratory protection when handling hazardous chemicals.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with packaging operations is a plus.
