Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Technician to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and residential environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a range of cleaning duties, ensuring that facilities are safe, sanitary, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance
- Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Operate floor buffing machines and perform floor waxing to ensure durable and attractive flooring
- Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies or equipment
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or safety hazards
- Follow established safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all cleaning activities
- Ensure all assigned areas meet health and safety standards, providing a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or environmental services roles, especially in commercial and residential cleaning settings
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling with an emphasis on safety procedures
- Skilled in various floor care techniques including buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and carpet extractors
- Good communication skills to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
