Position Overview:
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and compliant dispensary experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and able to provide excellent customer service while following all cannabis regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and provide a positive first impression
- Verify customer age and required identification before entry (following state cannabis regulations)
- Check customers into the dispensary system and maintain accurate customer records
- Manage front desk operations, phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries
- Assist customers with general questions about products, promotions, and store policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Monitor customer flow and communicate wait times when needed
- Support budtenders and management with daily store operations
- Schedule appointments and assist with customer account issues
- Help resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed
- Follow all compliance requirements, including inventory, security, and customer verification procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information
- Assist with online orders, pickup coordination, and customer notifications
- Support promotional events and store campaigns
- Perform opening and closing front desk duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional, friendly, and reliable attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS systems
- Must be able to follow all cannabis compliance rules and regulations
- Must meet all state-required age and employment requirements
- Previous retail, hospitality, or cannabis experience preferred
Pay: $17.00 per hour
