Bartender & FOH Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Bartender & FOH Specialist role is responsible for delivering exceptional bar and front-of-house service to guests at Pink Palm Inn, an 11-room adults-only boutique hotel in Palm Springs. Your primary role is to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the pool and bar while ensuring every guest feels taken care of. This position requires a motivated individual who is polished, personable, and has a strong team-oriented work ethic with a positive attitude. As a key part of our guest experience team, you will contribute to creating the memorable moments that keep guests coming back. You have a passion for hospitality and a love for connecting with people. This role is part-time with a starting hourly pay of $18 + tips.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
● Prepare and serve beverages to hotel guests at the bar and poolside.
● Ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction throughout each shift.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and pool area.
● Manage bar inventory, track usage, and report any supply needs to management.
● Support guest check-in and front-of-house needs during peak periods.
● Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
● Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and all applicable regulations.
● Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the dress code.
● Maximize efforts towards productivity while retaining focus on hospitality and a positive guest experience.
● Maintain confidentiality of information.
● Show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
● Perform other related duties as requested by management and/or that support the team.
● Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
● 1+ year of experience as a bartender mandatory; 3-5+ years experience preferred.
● Possess and maintain a valid California Food Handler Card accepted in Riverside County.
● Possess and maintain a valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Server Certification.
● Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and solution-oriented mindset.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
● Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
● Commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
● Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and staff.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
● Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours in length.
● Must be able to exert well-paced ability to remain organized and calm during high-volume shifts.
● Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
● Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual accuracies.
● Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment on the premises.
