Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plumbing Qualifier to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems during construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects to ensure adherence to building codes and safety standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to verify proper installation procedures.
- Manage and supervise plumbing teams on-site, providing guidance on installation techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Perform construction estimating related to plumbing materials, labor, and project timelines to support project planning.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques for installation and repair tasks.
- Analyze building code compliance requirements specific to local regulations and ensure all plumbing work aligns accordingly.
- Oversee plumbing system maintenance and repair activities in both residential and commercial settings while managing field service operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to address technical issues promptly while delivering excellent customer service.
- Conduct heavy lifting, carpentry tasks related to plumbing fixtures or remodeling projects as needed.
- Ensure construction regulatory compliance by adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards throughout all phases of work.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of building code analysis specific to local regulations and national standards for plumbing systems.
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, system maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical issues within plumbing setups.
- Skilled in managing teams of plumbers or subcontractors on busy construction sites while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems integration as it relates to plumbing or mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for accurate measurements and estimations.
- Experience working with construction plans from start to finish in a fast-paced environment requiring heavy lifting and physical endurance.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate construction vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
